Meet the Team
Jackson Mitchell
President and FounderJackson didn't stumble into medical device sales. He competed his way into it — and then dominated it.
A former Division I linebacker at SMU, Jackson built his post-athletic career the same way he built everything else: through preparation, relentless work, and an obsessive commitment to outperforming expectations. What followed was a decade at the top of one of the most demanding industries in the world. President's Club. Award-winning sales leadership. Managing elite surgical relationships in high-pressure operating room environments. Building and leading teams of high performers across complex, competitive territories.
He was, by every external measure, winning.
But Jackson knew something that the quota reports didn't capture — the traits that made him and his best performers exceptional weren't taught in onboarding programs or developed through corporate training. They were built on fields, in weight rooms, and through years of competing at levels most people never reach. And he kept watching former athletes — people with every quality the industry demanded — fail to break in simply because no one showed them how to translate what they already had.
Walk-On Mentality Medical exists to close that gap.
As President and Founder, Jackson built a career transition platform for athletes at the intersection of elite athletics and high-performance careers — connecting former collegiate and professional athletes with the medical device companies that need them most, and equipping those athletes with the preparation, positioning, and industry knowledge to not just land a role, but build a career.
He's not selling a concept. He's lived both sides of this equation — the locker room and the operating room — and he built Walk-On Mentality Medical because he's uniquely qualified to bridge them.
No limits.
Christian Dyer
Vice President of Athlete DevelopmentChristian knows exactly what it takes to perform at the highest level — and what it takes to build a career after the final whistle.
A Sacramento native, Dyer played collegiate rugby at UC Berkeley before earning his place on the international stage, representing the USA Eagles in 15 test caps and competing on the USA Sevens circuit. Domestically, he spent four seasons in Major League Rugby, suiting up for the Houston SaberCats and Rugby FC Los Angeles — accumulating 51 appearances, 21 tries, and a reputation as one of the most dynamic and physically imposing backs in the league. In his debut MLR season, he helped lead the SaberCats to their first playoff appearance in franchise history.
He retired from professional rugby in July 2025.
What Christian brought to the field — rare size and speed, elite competitiveness, composure under pressure, and a relentless pursuit of excellence — is exactly what Walk-On Mentality Medical was built to identify, develop, and place. As Vice President of Athlete Development, he works directly with former athletes to help them translate a lifetime of high-performance sport into a thriving career in medical device sales.
Christian understands the transition intimately. He's lived it. He knows the gap between finishing a career in sport and finding work that challenges you the same way. And he knows that the traits that make great athletes — coachability, discipline, resilience, the ability to perform when the stakes are highest — are the exact traits that define the best medical device sales professionals in the country.
